Founded by two charismatic young entrepreneurs Subrat Kar and Anikendra Das Chaudhary, Vidoofy is India’s first YouTube video promotional network for brands, artists, film makers and individual video creators. It helps brands, small businesses & individual artists to promote their videos & make it viral. They distribute the video contents through a series of publishers who are website owners, social media users, bloggers, and mobile apps owners. The platform is self-serve based (Advertisers can place their own ads without the assistance of an actual advertising sales representative).
They came up with this brilliant idea to make pre-launches a sensation in social video sites like YouTube and many others.
Startoholics caught up with Subrat Kar for a quick chat. Here’s an insight into the life of a young entrepreneur who is riding on the success of his vision that was turned into reality thanks to a peregrination that led to Vidoofy and where is it positioned in the market today.

Before Vidoofy happened, Subrat was an entrepreneur and had co-founded a restaurant search engine. He quit it to pursue his interest on e-commerce and worked for a leading e-commerce brand before starting Vidoofy.
What motivated this Startup? And what is the legend behind its name?
I am a consumer internet guy and always find opportunities on internet based products. So I grabbed the opportunity to start Vidoofy from the market by seeing the current problems and requirement of the customers.
The name is just generic, but yes we are inspired by some leading international brands like Wingify, Spotify etc. We call ourselves Vidoofier.
Could you give a briefing about how it works?
It works in 3 steps for Advertisers.
First advertisers like Brands, Film makers, Artists come to Vidoofy and setup their campaign by putting the YouTube video url, targeting the audience, selecting the age group and gender.
Then our system suggests an auto CPM/CPV rate. Once they pay the amount of their life time budget for the campaign, their ad goes live in 24 hours.
Then they can track & analyse the campaign from our analytics.
Publishers like content website owners, bloggers, mobile app owners, mobile game owners can join us as publisher. Based on their category and relevant to the content, the ad inventory will be pushed to them accordingly once we get advertisers on similar category. Then we pay out our publishers on successful of campaign based on CPM/CPV model.
What differentiates Vidoofy from the rest?
Frankly no one is in the market and we want to become a leader in this category. Existing video ad networks and other ad networks could become our competitors indirectly, but our model and product is different from them. No existing ad networks work on self-served mode.
Tell us about your target customers.
Big and small brands that are planning to launch their YouTube Commercial (YTC) or existing brands that are already promoting TV Commercials (TVC) and want to promote their TVC digitally are our customers.
Also film makers who are planning to promote their movie trailer, artists or musicians who want to promote their album or who want to increase their number of views on YouTube video.
Individual video creators who want to promote their video are our targeted customers. Part time film makers/online content producers who want to earn more from their video contents.
What challenges have you faced in your entrepreneurial journey? What has been the toughest decision you had to make lately, if any?
Challenges are many in every entrepreneur’s life. So this is not a new thing, but yes the journey is fun.
What are your plans for promoting Vidoofy? Also, do you have any tie-ups?
We are promoting others, so at the end of the day Vidoofy will be promoted by itself.
But yes, we are looking forward to tie-up with big film production houses to become their official movie promotional partner.
How do you think Vidoofy can be taken to the next level?
Currently we are focusing only on the Indian market. Later we will expand to other countries.
Any parting advice for the young entrepreneurs out there?
Every entrepreneur has his/her own style. Please don’t follow others’ steps. Just do what you feel from your inner heart.
