When Pratik Adani, the founder and CEO of Price Paaji came back from US, and wanted to buy himself a good Television and a music system, he surfed a lot of websites to get the details about product, prices and reviews, and then went to 10 different local stores in his area, but ended up feeling annoyed by the lack of price parity for products.
As a tech-savvy person, he was surprised to see lack of Indian websites where useful information is available to a user, which hit him. That’s when the idea for Price Paaji was born which was to give the customer basic five things to make an informed purchase decision i.e.

Pratik Adani – Founder & CEO
Pratik has a Master’s Degree in Computer Science from USC (University of Southern California) and was working in a Digital Advertising company in US before he decided to leave behind the “American dream” and come back to “Mera Bharat Mahan” in order to make a difference. The launch of Price Paaji was a dream come true and now he has come a long way from working at home to having a cabin and an office.
Ashish Mohan – Business Development Head
Ashish has done his Masters in Business Administration from Asian Institute of Management with focus on management and strategy consulting. Prior to joining Price Paaji, he was a consultant with Infosys and Accenture. With a keen eye for market research and strategy, he works closely with the local retailers to ensure their buy-in to the system.
PricePaaji’s launch involved a series of individual interviews of the target group, followed up with group discussions in order to understand buying behaviour and patterns. Once the team got a knowhow in a particular area, they had an alpha launch, where a different set of individuals were called in to assess their business idea plus website. All the feedback was well documented and then implemented in an orderly fashion. Post this they are now in Beta stage of PricePaaji.com. Currently, they have tie-ups with around 450+ stores in Mumbai, Thane & Navi Mumbai areas.
At present Price Paaji generates revenue from Affiliate model, Advertising and Store tie-ups. They will be expanding into new revenue streams once they establish themselves in the market.
Now and then…
At present they have 16 categories up and running and the team wants to ensure that their users have complete and useful information about those categories. They are also looking at expanding in to other cities depending on user response and feedback.
In the last 4 months, Price Paaji has grown from 100 to 450+ stores and there are many stores wanting to be a part of their system. Moreover lots of customers keep calling them day in & day out to get best prices for various products.
