How It Works

All that you need to begin with is install the new CMS on your Web Hosting server, and type in the URLs of Source and Target CMSs.

The supported CMSs vary from WordPress  Joomla!, Drupal, Blogger to forums like php BB and many more. You can see the list of supported CMS & Forums here.

If a person wishes to transfer his blog to a new CMS, it’s really a big task to be accomplished and there are always chances of making some errors and losing data! Using transfer services is recommended if you are not well versed with what you’re planning to handle.

The transfer is free upto 10 pages, without images, for which you will need to pay.

Mangoreader is an app for children stories and interactive books. We just tried the Android app, and indeed it is very good! Mangoreader takes learning to another level, with interactive e-books which move with every turning page. Such a different and creative platform creates excitement and facilitates comprehensible learning as kids tend to grasp content better if they can relate to it.

Mangoreader sports several smart features such as character movements/animations on touch, games in books, read on your own or use Auto-Narration, and is also multi-lingual.

The User Interface of the app is good, but top-notch. But considering the fact that it is a newly launched app, it is really appreciable! However we think that things would have been better if they had not used the kind-of-default buttons in their interface, and had used something light-colored as their background. But yes, this is just the beginning, and we’re sure this part will be improved with time.

About the Book Reading experience, the only trouble we had was to see the entire page at one go, without having to scroll up or down. We just wish this is taken care of and the team comes up with a setting to fit the page to the size of the screen.

Verdict:

The app is truly helpful, and you can actually count on it. A few more brush-ups is all that is needed. Moreover, we’re sure MangoReader will bring more awesomeness in making e-books look alive!

Dial2Verify has entered the Missed Call Telephony Market (yes this market exists!) with their customer verification system which just uses a missed call from the user to get them verified. As other methods involve sending bulk messages and are costly for the company, Dial2Verify comes to the rescue here by their Missed call based PAAS (Platform As A Service) startup.

How Dial2Verify Works

Dial2Verify can be used for verifying signups, lead generation, transaction authorization and validating users for Cash on Delivery in the E-Commerce industry. Rahul Am, co-founder and CTO of Dial2Verify says they provide more flexibility in the API while being cheaper than their competitors. The self funded company now has 71 businesses (as of now) registered with them.

The story behind Dial2Verify unfolds like this: Rahul moved to Bangalore for a project last year and he noticed the traffic problem there. The thought of carpooling followed, but with a little problem.  Commuters won’t travel with people with unverified identities, and hence the identities of cummuters must be verified while registering.  To cut down on costs, they developed their own system of verification using missed calls, and hence this system became the startup!

We know how tough it is to handle the strike of the hungry creatures inside your stomach, like controlling a riot unarmed! Every such human who had to wait for his dosa must have prayed to God for help, and he has finally listened. An engineering student of SRM University, Eshwar Vikas has designed an automatic dosa maker machine, called Dosa Matic. The thinking behind it was to produce dosas in seconds so that time is saved and the dosas are cheaper. Noble thought for all dosa lovers out there, right?

In India, chapatis, dosas and many other tasty eatables are hand-made, while burgers and pizzaas are manufactured. The time along with extra human efforts make chapatis and dosas much more costly than burgers, and Eshwar had plans to fight change this. This Electronics engineering student started working on the Dosa making machine 2 years ago and spent approximately 6 lakhs on it, which was mainly earned from his internships. The user can get a dosa in under a minute, so that you don’t have to fight your hunger for too long! One can even choose the kind of dosa- thick, thin, crispy,uthapam or kal dosa. You just have to fill in some batter and oil, and the dosa gets rolled out. An auto clean feature is also there to keep you free from the troubles of cleaning the machine after every dosa.

The team behind Dosamatic has set up a company called Mukunda Foods Pvt. Ltd., and it is incubated by Indian Angel Network. They have got their own manufacturing plant and R&D team too. The Dosamatic machine they have developed is going to cost just one third of the other machines that do the same, but are much more bulkier and use complex mechanisms. This is just another story of  how the passion of doing something different along with determination can help counter challenges, even if they are related to delicious and crispy dosas. Lets hope the restaurant next to your home starts using Dosamatic, so you won’t have to wait the next time you’re hungry.

Enough use of the word Dosa, I now need to eat one! Long Live Dosas!
