The online world is buzzing with various websites catering to the needs of MBA students. Surf on Google and you may come across so much information that it becomes difficult to grasp all of it. MBASkool comes across as a sigh of relief amongst this cluttered world. A one stop shop for anyone and anywhere concerned with MBA, MBASkool offers a platform for Business Articles, Management Documents, Brand Analysis, Business Concepts, Employer Reviews, Official B-School Magazines, Official Club College & Event Pages and Contests. To learn more about this student inspired portal we have Manmeet Sabharwal and Divij Saharia, Co-Founders, in discussion with Startoholics.

Could you shed some light on your life before MBASkool? What motivated this start-up?

Before starting MBASkool, we were studying MBA at NMIMS, Mumbai. During our MBA itself, we realized the need gap where we saw that there was no dedicated portal for B-School students and professionals for giving quality knowledge content. All the existing portals mainly focused on admissions and entrance examinations. This motivated us to start something of our own in the management education field.

How did you take your first step towards MBASkool?

We first started off with finalizing the website structure, different sections and type of content we wanted on the website. This was the most important step in the initial phase as our aim was to provide high quality business and management content to students. Once this was taken care of, it was more about working on generating quality content.

How does it differentiate from other platforms that focus on the needs of students?

Most of the platforms which are in a similar field as ours are more concentrated on admissions, colleges and entrance examinations but MBASkool does not focus on these categories and focuses on actual management content. Almost all the content on MBASkool is contributed by the students themselves.

Our team works hard on ensuring that the content contributed is original, of the highest quality and would add value to our users.

Have you got the feedback and growth that you expected since launch?

We have been able to achieve what we estimated at the time of launch. The growth has been great in terms of users and response. We keep getting feedback from our users on a constant basis. Most of them are positive regarding the unique idea and the quality content available for free. But there are critical reviews too which help us in becoming better. We take feedback from our users very seriously and strive to become better.

How difficult has this journey been? Have you faced any failures yet?

The MBASkool journey has been great but it has had its share of issues and failures. The major challenges and roadblocks have been in terms of generating content, more interactive sections, security of our portal, issues pertaining to our website performance etc. However, constantly fighting to overcome our hurdles has made our processes and operations much more streamlined.

What more do you wish to include to take MBA Skool to the next level?

We constantly keep brainstorming on improving our existing sections and adding new sections to the website. This is a very important and must have process. Making our site more intuitive and responsive is something which we feel would always add more value. Also, we would want to partner with more number of B-schools, India and abroad, to take MBASkool to the next level.

If not for MBASkool, where would you be now?

Both of us have an entrepreneurial mind-set and we firmly believe that we have the potential to do something on our own with the knowledge we possess. If not for MBASkool, we would definitely be working on something similar and experimenting for sure.

Finally, what advice would you like to give to other young entrepreneurs?

Do not stop believing in your idea; it is only you who can make it big. Take obstacles in your stride and take them as lessons. Be realistic and practical in your approach, and plan before you execute.

Thanks Manmeet and Divij! We wish MBASkool luck for the future.
