Though entrepreneurs seldom get time to watch movies, they should always make time for those which can help them to overcome obstacles and work in a smarter way by providing guidelines about team building and organising. Beneath mindless comedies and movie clichés, there are some inspiring movies that entrepreneurs can learn from. The photographic topographies addressed by a movie can actually tell them how to role as business owners.

Flash of Genius (2008)

The movie is similar to Tarzan The Wonder Car as it portrays the story of an inventor, Robert Kearns ( Greg Kinnear) struggling with the US automobile makers over this device, who appreciate his invention and launch it without giving him credits over it.

Entrepreneurs must learn to protect their ideas from being filched by corporate giants or the competition.

Pirates of Silicon Valley (1999)

This movie beautifully depicts their struggles and how they overcame them to become juggernauts in the field of modern technology.

 The Pursuit of Happyness (2006)

This is another such movie that shows how one man struggles to work smarter and harder and ultimately triumphs over the competition. Focusing on the bull’s eye from the very beginning what so ever hardship may come, Christopher Gardner (Will Smith) never lost sight of the end goal and did everything he could do to recognize his dreams.

Up in the Air (2009)

Ideas for efficiency are great, but sometimes you need to understand the entire process before looking for ways to improve existing systems. A little knowledge is a dangerous thing. The well-educated and updated mind makes the best entrepreneur because he can analyse every aspect of the problem that may arise in the future.

This is a story about Ryan (George Clooney) who prefers to travel with his work to lay off people in other companies until an employee (Anna Kendrick) comes in the company and brings a renaissance to the current business model, solely relying on technology.

Tommy Boy (1995)

Tommy Boy is a hysterical movie but one lesson entrepreneurs should take away is to have a proper succession plan in place. The story revolves around the plot of obscuring family business with the death of the owner. Things turn a turn when his clumsy son goes on road to close sales and keep the company buoyant.

Glengarry Glen Ross (1992)

Entrepreneurs are sales people who have to trade their ideas, product, company and purpose in everything they do. Closing the sale is the most difficult part, but it should always be pursued. The movie is clouded with high pressure sales environment. The arrival of new boss results in more sales closures or more resignations. The movie can help entrepreneurs in motivating their sales closers and teaches them some significant sales mantras.
