Having a deadline is good for the work you are doing. But making the deadline chasing you is not. Corporate jobs tend to make deadlines strong enough that you are bound to abide by that even if you are dead. You have all the more reason why not giving up on dreams to start your own business is the right thing to do. You can have your own set of goals and deadlines which will motivate you to go on and cherish every bit of your business journey. And the satisfaction that you get out of the motivation is any day much bigger than any amount of bonus or salary hike.

Take any corporate job for instance, how many times do you get an opportunity to do something which is completely new, unique, ground-breaking and most importantly “creative”? The utmost creative thing you can do is to give your own opinion about an already existing idea but can never experiment with it.
