The most dangerous moment for a business is when it loses the entrepreneurial spirit

It is that spirit of the dream that chases and inspires millions of people to pursue what they have dreamt of doing. It is never assured that the path of the journey that can fulfill that dream would be a cake walk. Rather, there are high chances that it will be filled with hard and big stones as the journey would ask the person to get out of his/her comfort zone in the very first place. But that shouldn’t cause you to “give up” as that is the worst that can ever happen to a startup!

Many aspiring entrepreneurs, with the dream to have their own startup business, struggle with that very first condition— to be out of the comfort zone and stepping into the world of the unknown. They fail to understand why not giving up on dreams is so much important. They get perplexed whether they should start with the venture or not, what should be the right time to do so. But fulfilling a dream never never has a right time or place. All it takes is the effort and the spirit to achieve it.

It is true that there are certain moments when an entrepreneur can’t find a way and considers shutting business operations as an option. There can be a shortage of funds, lack of enthusiasm, stagnant or no growth, deviation from the main vision, ideological conflicts, change in the notion of “big” idea and many other problems. Also sometimes a startup just doesn’t get success even after being backed up with all the best options. What should an entrepreneur do in such a situation? Give up on his/her business? Never! Instead, he/she is to look for ways to eke out stability against all odds and believe in not giving up on dreams.

1. It’s all about the passion you crave for

Having a strong passion for having one’s own business is much more than having a wish to leave a tiresome and boring corporate job. And this passion is the first and foremost reason why not giving up on dreams of having a startup is best justified. Very few people actually get a chance to follow their passions in the present economic market scenario. So, if you have a persuasive business idea then you should act upon it positively.

2. It’s the Real-Money making opportunity

Aspiring entrepreneurs can relate to this when they find the stories of Apple, Google and many others, starting the venture with a strong idea and ending up being millionaires, really enticing. Remember, if they could do it, you can do it too!

Having your own startup business comes with all possible sorts of freedom that you probably can’t even think of if you are stuck in a 9 to 5 corporate job. Can you imagine requesting your boss to shift your cabin at your place where you have all the worldly comforts? Absolutely not! But in your own business, you are the Boss! You can build up your workplace wherever you want. And especially with the present digitized and technocratic world, you actually can run your dream business from anywhere and everywhere possible.

Having a deadline is good for the work you are doing. But making the deadline chasing you is not. Corporate jobs tend to make deadlines strong enough that you are bound to abide by that even if you are dead. You have all the more reason why not giving up on dreams to start your own business is the right thing to do. You can have your own set of goals and deadlines which will motivate you to go on and cherish every bit of your business journey. And the satisfaction that you get out of the motivation is any day much bigger than any amount of bonus or salary hike.

Take any corporate job for instance, how many times do you get an opportunity to do something which is completely new, unique, ground-breaking and most importantly “creative”? The utmost creative thing you can do is to give your own opinion about an already existing idea but can never experiment with it.

But in here, firstly the basis of the business is your own idea, not someone else’s. Therefore, you can do any sort of creative experiments you’d want to. And the best part is, if the experiment is a success it is your credit and even if it fails, you are not answerable to anyone else. And also, in corporate fields, sometimes, it may so happen that you are stuck with the kind of job you like the least, but with your dream startup you always get to do the work you are best doing at.

6. Getting closer to the dream

Once all the homework is done for the business venture and when you are well aware about your potentials, you feel like you are already one step closer to your dreams. It is that moment when all the factors that you initially were afraid of don’t seem that much hard anymore. And you feel like just continuing and enhancing it which makes your business stay strong and viable.

Being an entrepreneur doesn’t only require the “big” idea. What is “bigger” is the “not giving up” spirit in the time of turmoil. Guiding the idea in the best way by overcoming crisis defines the essence of a true entrepreneur. Therefore, along with learning all the important Do’s to achieve the dreams, one should also learn why not giving up on dreams is so important as well!
