Ever faced video conference problems either due to low bandwidth or dearth of time to download softwares? Tringgr brings you a solution that only needs Chrome and uses a service that runs on the low bandwidth. Video conferences play an imperative role in today’s fast paced lives. With so many new amazing ideas engendering fresh startups, the evident revolution taking place in the education sector that demands for more up to date methodologies of imparting knowledge and companies vying for the attention of customers, people are always scrounging for ways that could give them a competitive edge or let them work more productively. Tringgr tries to solve the communication problem by providing first hand browser experience by working on really low bandwidth fulfilling all instant conference needs and that is exactly what makes it unique.

“I was bitten by a startup bug in my early professional career. The initial idea came from closely looking at the online transactional businesses which has boomed in the past few years and the growth rate has been phenomenal. This made me think about the next step for these transactional online businesses and I thought it would be becoming more interactive with the customers and that’s where the idea was born. After doing a bit of market research, I found there is a lot we can do with video conferencing. There is where Tringgr was born and we think to disrupt conference and customer engagement market with Tringgr’s offerings.” added Sushant Pandey, the founder of Tringgr.

Sushant Pandey

The Noida based startup has a team of 5 members that works towards providing video conferences/chats, audio-only conferences/chats, group/private text chats and file transfers. Tringgr has also tied up with companies in the education technology space to enhance the quality of education by allowing students to collaborate, talk, chat, vote and solve papers together. Apart from that, they also have associations with travel websites that help you connect with a travel consultant and hotel representative to help plan your itinerary and show the property. “We believe that a product like Tringgr helps various online business to cater their interaction needs like Live Tutoring, Online Doctors, Live Product display for e-commerce, online Customer desk, Matrimony meeting points, etc.” said Sushant.

Tringgr Offerings Include-

-Tringgr.com – Free Public Platform for hosting video conferences, with voice calling and file transfer feature.

-TringgrEngage– First of its kind solution in India

Tringgr Engage is a real time customer engagement chat box solution that helps the consumer to grow sales and serves their website visitors in a better way, thus help them in elevating the customer experience via Video, Voice and Chat support with detailed analytics about customer.

-Tringgr Connect– white labeled Tringgr for Enterprise internal/external communication platform. It will have options like file sharing, screen sharing with voice and video communication.

-Tringgr CDN –This real time CDN network combined with a few Tringgr CDNs will not only help in quick content delivery but also decrease websites bandwidth consumption to 60-70% resulting in huge CDN cost savings.

The startup has served more than 4500 conferences in just 6 months and is currently running a few pilot projects. However, initial corporate sales have been tough because of the presence of various major players but they are still finding good value addition in case of low bandwidth requirements. Tringgr is planning on coming up with a mobile app soon through which users would be able to call between mobile, browser, VOIP and PSTN phones (mobile and landline) at a really low cost or even free of charge.

When asked what piece of advice Sushant would like to give to other enthusiastic budding entrepreneurs, this is what he had to say – “Keep trying and experimenting as the best entrepreneurs around the world have failed in their early ventures or during the course. It’s the learning that counts and it’s their ability to still try something new after failing that has made them successful. Remember, your journey itself has started with a different experiment and you have chosen a different path so why get afraid NOW?

There are times when we find something really interesting to work but our thought process negates it because of the fear that probably this is much bigger than my potential or capability and we tend to drop the idea. NEVER DO THAT! This is where a start-up either starts or stops. Follow your heart and give it your full for a decent time. The least you can get is some valuable experience which will pay off really well later and in the best case, you will have the opportunity to live your dream.”

Wishing Sushant and team Tringgr all the very best in their endeavour! 🙂

Founded by Mukul Sareen, CartMyDeal is a growing e-commerce venture based out of Gurgaon that currently deals in apparels, home appliances, sports equipments, kitchenwares and gifts items. The startup has a total number of products amounting to 50,000 and targets to expand it upto 15 million by the end of 2014.

Mukul is himself an avid online shopper and the director of Business development at Hi-Tech International. As he has his client base spread globally, exchanging gifts or sending something particular to someone who lives in a different part of the world was a perpetual concern for him since it always proved to be an arduous affair. Even his favourite e-commerce websites couldn’t rescue him from this ordeal since their services were limited to India only.

Apart from this, he wasn’t oblivious to the fact that the booming online shopping industry was giving opportunity to manufacturers and retailers across India to capitalise the power of Internet and churn good money out of it but at the same time small scale retailers and suppliers were being isolated from this trend partly due to their illiteracy and mostly due to the lack of awareness.

The startup is of the opinion that profit is never the ultimate aim of CartMyDeal. They are reaching to small scale manufacturers and suppliers across India, explaining them the merits of Internet, bringing them onboard, marketing their products and accomplishing mutual growth.

cmd

However, in the enigmatic field of startups, there are innumerous companies vying to garner the same position. “Every emerging e-commerce firm particularly those venturing into multiple products retail are either getting crushed by the competition or couldn’t handle the destructive challenges, be it related to logistics, technology infrastructure or COD, that this sector has to offer. If market observers are to be believed, no player is making a unit profit on anything and that explains the big face values of capital that this ecommerce players are raising from VCs and investors to help them keep going. Backed by the investors they are in a race to formulate more luring schemes than their counterpart to lure customers. It appears that everybody is relying on investors rather than their consumers for profit. This is the biggest hurdle that we are facing, the ongoing trend, which leaves you with two choices either look for investors or get acquired by some giant within few years of inception.” added Ajit of CartMyDeal.

According to Ajit, CartMyDeal is showing a healthy progress everyday and he believes in a couple of months they will be able to silence their critics who were sceptical about the startup right from the very beginning.

“It is often said that future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams. The type of life we are living today was once considered “impossible” but the dreams of some who chose to go beyond the ordinary debunked the claims of those who chose to be “realistic”. Many opportunities are lost daily because people are out looking for four-leaf clovers. Don’t try to chase luck. Chase your hunger for experience, risks and you will never end up disappointed.” is the team’s advice to budding entrepreneurs out there who are trying to emerge victorious in a battlefield replete of juggernauts.

When a baby is born, a lot of new moms leave their jobs to be with their little ones. This is needed too as a baby needs full time attention, but in this journey from a working woman to a full time mother, a woman misses her financial freedom.

MyBabyCart.com is a platform that understands this problem and has created a solution to encourage mothers on embarking into the world of online selling. “We have realized that women in India have some or the other hobby and are very creative; they also create unique products for their babies as well as for other women. This creativity is also driven by necessity and willingness to give the best to their babies. Currently, the only channels available for them are Facebook groups and online forums – but there is not a single place which does all the marketing, catalogue updating, provides them with latest technology, customer support and looks after delivering their products. We want to be this channel and help them monetize their talents.” added Mridula Arora, the founder of MyBabyCart.com

Mridula is a technical person at heart who has worked with companies like Infosys and NIIT at the early stages of her career. After working in big organizations, she wanted to work in startups and thus joined mChek. Her experience with mChek helped her in getting her fundamentals about startups right. As she is mother herself, she realised there wasn’t a one-stop-destination where she could shop online for her baby.

mybaby 1

MyBabyCart wishes to be the online partner of innumerous new moms out there who are desirous of doing something on their own and help them sell their products online. It also takes care of all the online selling effort. MyBabyCart does data-entry, customer service, provides fulfilment support, does re-conciliation and also reaches out to the right customers with their products. In return, it takes commission on every sale concluded on its platform. As of now, more than 50 mothers have become a part of the MyBabyCart family.

“Women-oriented start-ups have one additional special thing – in businesses where women are in charge it’s not just about giving importance to work but also focusing on relationships and partnerships. When you undergo a partnership, you build a long-lasting relationship of trust and if the element of trust is lacking then a partnership won’t yield good results. Who can understand this better than a woman?” said Mridula.

Through MyBabyCart, Mridula aims at motivating the women of the country to be entrepreneurs and opt for financial independence. She is also of the opinion that in the world of startups, time is money and if you don’t work on your idea, someone else will do so soon enough.

Being an ‘entrepreneur’ or starting a business was never actually on the cards for Akshay Agarwal. The sudden inspiration came when he looked at the massive global job retrenchment numbers.

The staple dialogue no matter where he went was that “I want to do something of my own and get rid of my job” and “I Quit, Jo Ukhadna hain Ukhadlo!”Everyone was saying the same thing, be it his father’s friends or any working professional.

Hence he made up his mind and started working on the crowdfuncing portal during late November 2013 and launched it on the 11th of April.

“What did I just hear?” was the instant reaction of people who heard the name of the portal for the first time. However, when he and his team pitched his product to people, they were able to excite a majority of the crowd instantly. People were quite excited as they were looking for such a portal which could cater to all a startups needs on one single consolidated platform, be it funding, partners or ideas.

According to Akshay, Ukhadlo.com has garnered a favourable response and the platform has already been covered by juggernauts like The Hindustan Times and The Economic Times.

“Our portal works exactly like Facebook unlike others which are dispersed, fragmented and tend to remain limited to one use-case requiring the individual to switch platforms. We have an Activity Feed just like Facebook which alerts you of any activity based upon your location, industry and interests. Users can directly interact via messaging. People can search for Partners of their choice in their location and industry easily. They can also get their ideas validated and can partner up on them on the Idea Hub. The portal also enables them to discover various Startups and even register their own startup to be discovered by others.” added Akshay.

Currently, registrations are free on the website and the team intends to keep it that way for some time. The team is looking foward to monetize their ad system and also move to a freemium model soon.

Akshay is of the opinion that the current startup scenario is “Phenomenally Bright”. He also believes that the startup ecosystem will certainly continue to grow and get a further boost from the new business friendly Government of the country.

“Don’t wait for a plan to materialize. Don’t expect perfection in your very first try. Just jump In. No idea is too big or small, it’s just the mindset which matters. Life is short, startup now!” is Akshay’s advice to other innumerous budding entrepreneurs out there!

Think this exciting portal can help you in any way? Leave your comments below! 🙂

Making the brand viral among targeted customers is the sole purpose of SayOut which its founder Raushan Jha defines as a “new gateway of advertising”. He believes his startup is providing a unique service which affects any business inimitably as it introduces a novel way of advertising through which it serves a brand physically.

SayOut advertises/promotes/markets a brand/service according to the requirement of a client and goes to the customers of targeted age group/gender/location to promote/market their clients warmly.

Raushan Jha always wanted to do something different, but something which will sustain demand. One day, he saw some people who were promoting their event in public places with some posters and they were describing their event to the citizenry, and literally people were buying tickets through their mobile after consolation. That manner of promotion clicked his mind and he determined that he will commence a fellowship which will provide some similar services to his clients.

Adventure travel is a relatively new niche in the tourism industry and it’s not all that strictly defined. “Adventure” means different things to different people whether it’s rappelling down a sheer cliff face or simply traveling to a previously-unexplored country. A few brands are taking advantage of the endless opportunities provided by social media within the adventure travel industry and are continuously finding new ways to inspire and engage customers. Here’s a look at seven travel companies who have the social media thing down…

VisitSweden

visit sweden

Sweden’s widely known for its seafood and its hard-to-assemble furniture, but did you know that Swedenoffers boundless opportunities for adventure travel? This has never been more apparent than when the country’s official visitors bureau handed over the “keys” to the @Sweden Twitter account to ordinary Swedes – from an unemployed welder to several outdoor-adventure enthusiasts. The “Curators of Sweden” get to man Sweden’s Twitter account for one week at a time, posting pictures, re-Tweeting – anything that entices tourists. Oh, and that Twitter account? It’s got almost 70,000 followers.

David’s Been Here

david

David Hoffmann began his YouTube Channel, David’s Been Here, back in 2007 and has been traveling exclusively ever since. Twice a week, David posts informational first-hand videos on his channel to give the masses a taste of off-the-beaten-path travel, and it’s working. Aside from travel, David now makes a business out of selling guidebooks, digital media, and customized tour itineraries to viewers who love his style. The YouTube channel has almost 5,000,000 page views and 16,000 followers and David’s active on Twitter and Facebook, too.

iExplore Adventure Travel

946d8996-83f2-419f-8399-2f7f0891d8be

Based in Chicago, iExplore is a relatively large adventure and luxury travel company. They were one of the earliest adopters in the industry of Pinterest, perfect for travel photos, and they’ve got a really robust account with tons of pics to peruse. What are they doing right? They’re using professional photos for their boards which make their pictures stand out among the cluttered Pinterest landscape. A few of their boards including “Beautiful Places” and “Places to Visit Before You Die” have literally tens of thousands of followers.

GoPro

go proGoPro is paving the way for adventure traveler-sourced content. The insanely popular mountable HD camera (a perfect fit for extreme adventurists) means hours of gorgeously-recorded footage suitable for promotion by the brand. And who doesn’t want to see their travel video on display? GoPro has these user generated videos everywhere: YouTube, Facebook, and on their own website, and they’ve got a sizeable Instagram community too. With over 7 million likes on Facebook, they’re doing something right.

AmtrakResidency

Amtrak-01-800x482

Wait a minute…is Amtrak really an adventure travel brand? It’s all in how you look at it! For some people there’s no greater adventure than riding the rails from state to state and writers in particular love the romantic nostalgia of train travel. That’s why Amtrak has recently announced a writer’s residency program in which they’ll be providing free trips for up to 24 writers who can use their train adventure for inspiration, to relax, or just to ponder the mysteries of the universe. Of course, Amtrak’s banking on these trips being a big hit on social media (the idea came about when an obscure NYC writer Tweeted the thought) and so far they are. Twitter’s the hub for # AmtrakResidency and there are already thousands upon thousands of mentions from perspective residents.

Get Going

6dd4dfcf-65a6-4bb3-9276-d40321f5e747

Get Going is competing in the highly-competitive online travel space but they’ve got a new idea. Their “Pick Two, Get One” program is just risky enough to attract thousands of potential travelers who want to try their hand at a “random” trip. Users whittle down a larger list of trips they want to take to the two most enticing…then GetGoing.com does the rest. Travelers don’t know where they’re actually going until the trip’s booked so there’s an element of surprise. Get Going is pushing the #PickTwoGetOne hashtag hard on Twitter and they’ve already got over 35,000 likes on Facebook which is highly impressive for a new brand.

Contiki

74bfedf7-2e1b-44c5-8738-68cd750c20e5

Contiki’s a brand that’s always appealed to a younger, more adventurous demographic and their last big social media campaign was a winner. Called “Get on the Bus,” the promotion asked potential travelers to create their own virtual “bus” and choose from one of 8 pre-selected Contiki destinations, providing a bus name and even a backstory. Then they were asked to invite up to eight Facebook friends to “ride” on the bus with them, increasing Contiki’s reach and expanding brand recognition among the coveted 18-24 demographic. The most-liked buses were awarded free trips and the contest was such a success the site was temporarily overloaded.

Adventure travel makes for a more relaxed, less polished social media presence among brands which seems to be something customers really respond to. Traveling is no longer driven by guidebooks and travel agents but rather by apps and crowdsourced reviews!
